Anioma boasts a rapidly developing transportation and logistics network that positions it as a strategic corridor for movement of goods and people across the South. At the heart of this system is Asaba International Airport, which offers both passenger and cargo services, linking Anioma to major cities in the country, including Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt.
The road network across Anioma connects seamlessly with the Benin-Onitsha Expressway, a major economic artery, and the Asaba-Benin dual carriageway, which enhances trade flow to the West. Key towns like Agbor, Kwale, Ogwashi-Uku, and Isele-Uku are connected through interlinking roads, while the ongoing rehabilitation and expansion of feeder roads further strengthens rural-urban access and agricultural supply chains. The Abuja Road passing through Onicha-Ugbo continues into Edo State via Idumuje-Ugboko, Ewohinmi, and Ubiaja, forming a strategic corridor that links Anioma communities directly to the North. Notably, Anioma is strategically positioned on Nigeria’s planned Eastern standard gauge railway corridor, with Agbor serving as a critical station and operational base for the Warri–Itakpe rail line.
