Request For Support for the Creation of Anioma State
It’s with a deep sense of Patriotism and humility that we, officers and members of the Anioma State Creation Supporters Movement, Abia State, appreciate the good works that you and other leaders are doing to move our country forward. The challenges and tasks of nation-building are indeed enormous.
In recent times, Mr. President, the National and State Assemblies have been favorably disposed to the creation of one more state in Nigeria to address the structural marginalization of the South East of Nigeria, and satisfy the agitations of other parts of the country with additional states that would bring further development to the nation.
We also note in particular the disposition of Mr. President to the creation of the Anioma State. It is in realization of these facts that we thank you, our leaders, for this stand and continue to request and appeal for the concretization of the creation of Anioma State, which definitely will be a Pan-Nigeria state and a balancing parity state for the South East.
We thank our Pan-Nigeria Patriot and great son of Anioma land, Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko, for initiating the bill for the creation of Anioma State and his commitment to the crusade.
We equally appeal to those in Anioma land and the South East who, for whatever reason, have a different opinion on this matter to look beyond the cloud and note the positive, far-reaching cumulative effect of the creation of Anioma state. It will be a win-win for all. We also want to congratulate Ohanaeze Ndigbo and its President General Senator John Azuta Mbata for supporting this cause.
Finally, we thank Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his determination to ensure geo-structural equity in Nigeria and positive disposition to the creation of Anioma State.
